Vanity Fair has a long lasting relationship with Star Wars, which began a long long time ago when Annie Leibovitz first shot the cast of the Phantom Menace, and continued with the whole pre-quel trilogy. Their collaboration is far from over as proven with the 2015's documentation of the newest movie 'The Force Awakens'.
Now, in 2017, Annie Leibovitz and Star Wars have teamed up again to capture our heros and villains in the first look by Vanity Fair.
We can see Rey and Luke standing defiant on the cliffs of Ahch-To, the villainous trio Captain Phasma, Kylo Ren, and General Hux, the heroic quartet Poe Dameron, Finn, BB-8, and their newest addition, Rose Tico, who is a Resistance Maintenance worker.
However, the most powerful picture Annie Leibovitz has captured is the one of General Leia, played by the late Carrie Fisher.
